Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
The Lloyd's apprenticeship consists of rotational placements, with each apprentice having their own individual experience in each team. With so many teams to choose from it isn't uncommon to be the only person on the programme to be in that team. This format allows for maximum exposure whilst studying for your qualifications.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I couldn't recommend the programme enough. It taught me many valuable lessons and allowed me to grow as a professional person in ways I didn't think I would. I was able to make some amazing memories and be part of lots of rewarding events and experiences.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, Countless! Lloyd's organized multiple soft skill days in order to help us each develop on areas of weakness and become confident in our own abilities. The support provided was immense and it allowed me to develop both new and existing skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Extremely, in our induction week we was given a timeline that mapped our entire programme and all its contents out. They are very well prepared as the programme has been running for multiple years now.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Loads! at any one time I had the support from my placement team, my placement manager and my two apprenticeship managers. Regular catch ups were always scheduled to ensure I was OK and didn't require and help or support with anything. I didn't once feel as though I was on my own.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Lloyd's hired many training providers, with the main being Linda Prewitt FCII. We was always supported with our CII studies and by FWD with our secondary qualification. The support was always great and we always had someone to ask questions to.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
All the CII units I took were relevant to the London Market and so helped me to gain a vast amount of knowledge on the industry I work within. The secondary Level 3 qualification I took helped provide me with the competencies to complete my every day role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
All the time, Lloyd's organise some throughout the programme and then urge you to get involved in external ones in order to make new connections in the market.
