Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
On a day to day basis I would be involved in the onboarding of potential new clients into the Lloyds market. During this process, as a team, we would have to screen each company and its directors and check that they wouldn't pose a threat towards Lloyds. Depending on different factors each member would have different risks factors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
To this point, I have thoroughly enjoyed my programme. I have been included in a lot of different projects, and been included in a vast amount of discussions within the corporation.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Since joining Lloyds I have developed skills which have been beneficial towards work and life. One of the skills that stands out, is the ability of communicating with different people within the corporation. Prior to joining Lloyds I wasn't the most confident person when approaching people, but through sessions with external companies and talking to people within the business I have now become more confident.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
At the start, there was a slight confusion regarding the job of the career manager and our line manager, which in turn meant that there were a few problems in terms of organization. However, since this the programme has been organised very well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Lloyds have supported my learning thoroughly since starting in September 2020. Throughout lockdown, Lloyds have allowed me to buy the adequate equipment for working from home. They have also scheduled regular meetings to check in on all the employees through lockdown and has helped to support our learning and our well-being
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
FWD (now Davies) have been provided me with the skill and knowledge to excel in my apprenticeship. Again, at the start there was a bit of confusion around the scheme itself but since have supported my development and learning. Any queries surrounding financial services and the apprenticeship itself are answered quickly and efficiently and has helped me in my work with Lloyds.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification that I am training towards closely relates to the work that I am conducting at Lloyds. My qualification is in relation to compliance and risk and throughout my first placement I have undertook different projects assessing different risk factors and making sure that new and existing members of the Lloyds market are being compliant.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Due to lockdown, I have not had the opportunity to take part in any extra-curricular events within Lloyds. However, there have been al lot of virtual socials within our cohort and teams. Once lockdown restrictions have been lifted then I'd hope to take part in further activities that Lloyds hold.
