Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I am training to be a fitter/ inspector in the factory. It involves fitting parts together and inspecting them.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy is very much however it lacks organisation and therefore often comes with a lot of stress.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I have gained many skills including general fitting/ hands skills and a greater knowledge.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
It is not very well organised. It was organised better before COVID-19 happened but the ability to cope with this pandemic was not very good. The company is not structured well enough to allow apprentices on a section to get the correct amount of training they need.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive support throughout the business from most PLs and somewhat from my ADL but I do not feel prioritised in regards to support with work especially in the business.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
From certain lectures at the college I feel like I receive a lot of support but regarding my NVQ and assessments I don't feel like I have much support. I lack a lot of understanding too but it is made harder to communicate with them with regards to work (due to covid and training providers with assessments being changed- there is one assessor for a large amount of apprentices who cannot come onto our work site).
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
With regards to college, I feel that some of the lecturers and work I do does expand my knowledge within the work I'm doing in the business which helps with my role and job in work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There were several extra-curricular activities to get involved with however due to COVID there are near to none opportunities currently.
