Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Advising the business on legal matters and risks that affect the operation; negotiating contracts; handling complaints and litigation; managing people
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy the programme

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Everyday's a school day both at work and in my personal life! I have to carry out a minimum of 16 hours of professional development each year to maintain my practicing certificate and due to the restructure of the business last year I have been given responsibility for people management, which is all new to me.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It's very well structured. I like using the BUD platform - it helps me keep track (even if to remind me I'm behind!). I get a lot out of the regular workshops and the catchups with my tutor
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My line manager supports my participation in the program
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
As much as I need/want
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It helps me work out what I am already doing and focus on what I should be doing as well as areas for improvement as people management is all new to me
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I have been working from home since March 2020, so there haven't been anything like this recently. However, one of my colleagues is organising a Three Peaks challenge for the summer when (hopefully) we can get back out again in a group - I've signed up
