Managing of a branded pub chain kitchen - ensuring service is achieved efficiently; to a high standard of product quality, on brand with excellent hygeine and in a safe way by a well organised and skilled team. I provide the mentoring and guidance necessary to progress subordinates and to deliver maximal outcomes in our objectives; adapting the team where new challenges arise to fulfil and exceed guest expectations in an ever evolving hospitality sector.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Persuit of knowledge and discussion around new knowledge is always good; the online format was easy to digest and I could always easily delve deeper on the internet. Layout was excellent and serves as a platform to grow from quickly as hospitality evolves.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Covid created some unique hurdles which made being organised extra challenging. Before that was in play, everything was on a timeline and had clear outcomes. Very good overall. Structure currently is adapting to fit covid; it's tedius and offputting however if your drive to grow is strong enough you'll get through it - see it through, the trainers are there to be worked with and they do a good job adjusting to suit.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Don't expect an employer to give you all their time in hospitality as it's fast paced, understaffed often and everyone is seeking attention. I've learned an employer will be there to sign things but your learning is very much your own so experiment, read and grow on your own path. As far as getting certain aspects confirmed, this is viable but rely on your growth rather than expecting of others.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They were there when needed, as much as I required. I didn't personally need much attention; but it was always on hand if I'd asked. It's not just about the trainers though as you're also part of a whole learning community so you can reach out through the platform to other learners and graduates to find information. You get out what you put in, and also can take what you need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It levelled me up in maturity within my role in a noticable way. The same growth I did in one year would have taken me at least three to five without the extra focus on growth. It certainly helps reaching a new destination faster!

It's a people culture - people matter; and to be a part of a diverse community can be a significant source of joy - more so than a large sum of money or flashy title. It can be so much fun!
