Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
The work side can be boring at times but this a small cost of trying out so many fields of engineering.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I’ve developed soft skills just from working alongside a team in an office environment (attending/hosting meetings, making presentations, dealing with a range of people), and learning from a variety of managers/mentors. The institute also arrange training courses and external speakers to compliment the experience.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
How much support do you receive from your employer?
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
My degree will be from Warwick university who just provide lecturers.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
The undergrads have a social team and organise events themselves too.
