Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role would involve serving customers, unpacking deliveries or filling the shelves. I am flexible worker and a quick learner and I am wanting a chance to be able develop retail work. I am free most days, and hours are not an issue and neither are times. I also get along with people extremely easily and anyways looking to have a nice conversation. I am soft spoke and people say I’m easy to talk to and to get comfortable around. I also don’t get easily distracted, and very focused once I’ve been set a task.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I rate my programme very high because it teaches me many valuable thing which I know I will need later on in my life. It will also allow me to develop more retail skills and can also help me improve my communication skills and allows me to take this experience into later programmes. It will also allow me to gain skills with financial decisions which I will need to have for my future and with decisions that I will make and become financial stable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have not had actual past experiences with this job however, inside school I was always willing to show new students or teachers around and to make sure they feel comfortable. I usually cleaned and re arranged teachers selves or books if messy, and I’m always willing to learn more and once I have a task set I’ll finishes it quickly and efficiently. I am on time and always willing to learn and develop more skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is structured and organised very well. It shows a clear image of what is going to be needed of me and what skills I still need to develop and what skills I already have. The programme has showed me that effort and communication is very important. This then will enable me to use this experience later on in my life or with different jobs. The structure is organised in a way to allow development to grow or to gain more skills.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I get a lot of support however, on when I need the support but even if not needed I still do get support. For example, cleaning and restocking. If I am struggling to find a certain item or to reach a certain area, first I would try and resolve it myself in a sensible way and efficiently, and if that is not possible I would go and ask and they will help me find the item or have a solution.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The support I gain when working towards my qualifications all depends on what I’m struggling with, because when I get given a task I like to do it and finished it but if I can not I will try some other way which is responsible first before asking for support on the subject and when I do get the support is is helpful and 9 times out of 10 I do not need to have it explained again.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel comfortable and confident with my training provider as I know family and friends who have previously or still do work as an employee at this specific store. I know I will be able to develop even more skills and improve even more on the ones which I currently have. I also know I will have the support provided to me when it is needed and once given to not have to have it explained over and over.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Personally extra curricular activities were not usually something I would be able to do however, I would join in on extra curriculum if given the opportunity. For example, social activities i would be able to do as I would feel and be comfortable with doing something such as socialising. Furthermore, if there was any other extra curriculum which I could join or get myself involved with, if I had time I will most likely join and become involved as I would like to develop more skills and possible go out of my comfort zone with certain things.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend ASDA to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend Adsa to a friend and family as I also have had it been recommended to me. It is a great experience and can further develop your skills and can also help in developing more skills for the further I.e. financially, socially and with how things are carried out. It also provided the support needed for the job to be completed in the correct way. Furthermore, it will help further your current experience.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to ASDA?
The tips which I will give will be simple and will allow them to understand clearly on what the Asda is all about and that they can further your experience and also develop more, and as for advise I would inform them that the company will provide support and the help if needed and when asked. I would also tell them that it is an easy survey to fill and isn’t complex or invading.
