Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

From the start you are fully immersed in to the Savills working life. Every day you are given different tasks from the department members, such as finding comparables for a proposed development, calculating residual land values or filling out reports.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

I found it very insightful. I enjoyed the department overviews that they gave us as I hadn't heard of a few of the roles that they told us about during these and those that I had heard of I wasn't sure what the role entailed. It has opened my eyes to the various opportunities available and what other potential roles I may enjoy within the company.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have found the whole experience has been very informative. The team were extremely helpful and thorough in describing what each job entails. They answered any questions I had, making sure I understood what I was doing. There were many tasks that I had never done before, that I know will definitely benefit me as I begin my education in Real Estate in September.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Savills seems like a delightful company to work for. The workplace atmosphere is friendly, welcoming - even with the office more empty than usual due to covid. It was interesting to see all the different departments working cohesively.
