Rural Summer Scheme Student Review

Assisting the Rural Surveyors with all things Agency work and Estate Management. This included drawing up tenancies, carrying out property inspections, assisting with viewings for the sale of farms and spending time working in an estate office. It was a really varied role, with each day being different. This kept the role extremely interesting as no two days would be the same!

There were various different Zoom calls that took place throughout the two weeks spent in Savills. These were really insightful as it gave you an opportunity to find out about all the different departments that make up the entire business - along with gaining an extensive knowledge throughout the time spent in your specific department. Also learned a lot about the Savills graduate scheme, which seems like it is full of great opportunities.

Yes - I have learnt a lot about Estate Management and all it involves. I have developed my problem-solving skills and learned a lot about various types of tenancies and other legal proceedings involved in the buying, selling and renting of agricultural land and buildings.

Lovely office environment to work in. Everyone is really nice and helpful and more than willing to answer any questions put to them.

I really loved it and it has really helped me realise which direction I would like to take my career in. I got out of it everything that I wanted to.
