Synthesis of novel drugs and subsequent screening to assess for covalent modification. Half-lab based half data analysis

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Very independent work and a lot of responsibility. I decided what my week would be and checked with my boss to see if it suited.

Have to present powerpoints of data to higher-ups so learn how to compile data effectively. So much more competence in the lab. Can explore many different avenues in science, dependent on your interests

Weekly meetings and constant streams of conversations on Teams. Could go to anyone in the department for help, and anyone outside of department was equally willing to help
