Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My work mostly consists of planning experiments, receiving DNA, transfecting mammalian cells to produce a protein, and then purifying it.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes - I have been trusted to design my own experiments and carry them out independently, and then analyse their results. I do however receive as much support as I need and am able to ask any questions I have as I'm working.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture is really nice, everyone is always willing to have a chat if they have the time and help in any capacity they have. There are also frequent departmental team building events to encourage the rapport within the teams.
