Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The WTW Insight Programme was an incredibly rewarding experience that offered a mix of interactive workshops, real-world problem-solving, and professional development. Each day involved learning modules on client excellence, personal branding, and root cause analysis, alongside Q&A panels with former interns and senior staff. I particularly enjoyed collaborating in team exercises and gaining a deeper understanding of WTW’s business areas, culture, and values. It gave me valuable insight into the consulting and risk industry.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Understanding the structure of WTW and the variety of roles available was eye-opening. It helped me see how different lines of business — from corporate risk to consulting — contribute to client solutions. Hearing from recent graduates and experienced professionals gave me clarity on career paths and what skills are valued. It was especially helpful to learn about the rotational opportunities and how WTW supports development from internship through to graduate level.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
During the insight, I developed my active listening and communication skills through client-focused role plays, and strengthened my problem-solving ability using the 4-step Root Cause Analysis framework. I also improved my teamwork and presentation skills by collaborating with peers on group activities and delivering insights to facilitators. The STAR technique session helped me structure responses more clearly, which I’ll apply in future interviews and professional interactions.
