Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The WTW Level Up insight programme offered a two-day virtual experience focused on career exploration and skills development. Each day involved interactive sessions on personal branding, inclusion, and the future of work. We took part in group activities, presentations, and Q&As with WTW professionals across different divisions. The programme also provided networking opportunities, insights into graduate roles, and a chance to understand how WTW supports career growth in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really insightful to learn about the different areas of WTW and the wide range of roles available. Each session broke down what the teams do day-to-day, making it easier to understand how my own interests could align with the business. Hearing directly from current graduates and senior staff gave a realistic view of the work culture and progression routes. It made the firm feel more approachable and helped me identify roles I hadn’t previously considered.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Yes, I developed several key skills during the programme. I improved my communication and presentation skills through group discussions and a team challenge. I also strengthened my networking abilities by engaging with professionals from different business areas. The sessions on personal branding and future skills helped me think more strategically about my career. Overall, the experience boosted my confidence in professional settings and gave me a clearer understanding of the skills valued in the workplace.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture came across as welcoming, supportive, and genuinely inclusive. Everyone I spoke to was approachable and open about their experiences, which created a comfortable environment to ask questions and engage. There was a strong emphasis on collaboration, personal development, and flexibility. It was clear that WTW values individuality and encourages people to bring their full selves to work. The overall atmosphere felt professional but relaxed, with a focus on growth and mutual respect.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed the insight – it was engaging, informative, and exceeded my expectations. My advice would be to show genuine curiosity about the company and the roles you’re interested in.
