Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
It was a 2 day virtual event. It consisted of many interactive sessions which were very engaging. There were also sessions where we learnt how to develop specific skills. We were also given the opportunity to network with people on the grad scheme and ask them any questions that we had. The highlight of the event was definitely the mini careers fair, where we were able to learn about the different lines of business from professionals and were given the opportunity to ask them questions. This was a very insightful experience!

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
We developed our listening skills (active listening vs empathetic listening) in relation to client excellence. This helped us understand how to handle different situations and be able to realise when which type of listening must be used. We also developed our problem solving skills by learning about the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) method. We were able to apply this on a scenario given to us. So not only did we learn a new method of problem solving, we were able to actually apply it, which is always helpful.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture at WTW felt inclusive, collaborative, and supportive. Everyone was approachable and genuinely invested in helping us grow. The atmosphere encouraged curiosity and learning, creating a safe space to ask questions and connect with professionals across the firm. It was clear that WTW values development, diversity, and teamwork.
