Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I work in procurement for the packaging team. I buy bottles for Beauty and Wellbeing and Personal Care. on a day to day basis I am interacting with suppliers, managing contracts and financial documents.

I recently needed help with a situation that was effecting my wellbeing and I had so much support from the functional lead team and the future careers team. I was provided with helpful resources and contacts. I felt so supported.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I really liked the company culture. I feel you can personally grow at Unilever, change is encouraged. Everyone champions for you to do well. There are loads of opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills with various events and trainings. More specifically for placement students you can be part of a development team, which allows you to part of amazing projects.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
As I come to the end of my placement year, I find it hard to put into words how many lessons I’ve learned and how much I’ve grown personally as a result. I’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly amazing people. I deeply admire Unilever’s values—especially its commitment to sustainability. These values have inspired me to return and pursue a role within Unilever's sustainability team.
