Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Day-to-day varies from batch-making of antiperspirant aerosols to conducting analytical tests such as HPLC-ELSD, GC-fid, Laser diffraction studies. Also involves writing up results for ELNs and university report. I also conduct stability tests for new formulations and qualification of new suppliers. Part of role involves team meetings, presenting your work and results to various stakeholders.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was responsible for my own university research project and multiple customer/business driven projects that helped my time management/ project planning skills.

I was assigned a buddy who was always ready to help. Very helpful environment. Everyone is very supportive and ready to help in day-to-day issues. However more guidance on university project/ report writing would have been more beneficial for smooth submission.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone is very helpful and supportive. Very friendly! Enjoyed my placement. People from different educational and cultural backgrounds, very diverse learning environment.

It is a great opportunity to meet people with different academic backgrounds and learn various soft skills. Project planning and taking initiatives is very important.
