Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I work as a Technology Modeller/Data Analyst, where my responsibilities vary based on team and business needs. My role involves creating and automating reports, conducting ad-hoc analyses, ensuring data governance, and presenting insights to stakeholders. As part of the Analytics team for the fixed network, my primary objective is to provide the insights and analytics that help the team build and maintain our network, enabling informed decision-making.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I've honed my skills in Excel, analytics, and using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Additionally, I've developed crucial soft skills like creating effective presentations, and improving both verbal and written communication. These abilities enhance my capacity to convey insights clearly and collaborate efficiently with stakeholders. My role has also strengthened my problem-solving and critical thinking skills, making me a versatile and valuable asset to my team.

I received plenty of support and guidance during my placement, especially from my manager. I also had a dedicated mentor and a helpful team, which made a significant difference in my learning experience.
