Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Assistant brand manager - supporting the brand lead with innovations and media campaigns. Leading a section of the portfolio, manging media campaigns and supporting the team with day to day tasks, such as managing the budget and all e-commerce assets.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Lots of responsibility was given, often to manage my own projects as well as supporting on campaigns. This was aided with support from the team and line managers.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Developed lots of skills, especially in excel when managing the budget. Have also developed skills in managing lots of different internal and external stakeholders when conducting projects and campaigns. Have developed skills in digital marketing, especially social-first strategy.

Lots of support, always had a 1 to 1 meeting with my line manager every week and was always able to reach out to ask any questions if needed.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Really enjoyed my placement it has been amazing. It’s given me such an insight into the industry whilst also developing my personal and professional skills.
