Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I work on multiple projects based on naval platforms in Portsmouth Dockyard. This varies from upgrades to existing systems or the design of a new system. This role includes online and in person work. With the opportunity to go onboard Navy vessels.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, given the opportunity to lead tasks and even meetings. The amount of responsibility taken is down to the individual.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Have enjoyed the experience a lot. There is opportunity everywhere if you look for it, and plenty of interesting work to be done. Only a few points in the year when there was little to do due to holidays/customer funding.
