Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Admin responsibilities, supporting project initiatives, supporting the Employee networks (e.g. Pride@Siemens, Women's Network, Disability, Race, Working families).

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes I was responsible for ensuring that projects were delivered on time, that we met deadlines both internally and externally. I was responsible for reporting on our Gender Equity Programme figures, as well as overseeing our Employee Network budget.

Yes I have developed my communication, project management, leadership and public speaking skills. I have gained some insights into data analytics, something I would like to take forward.

I received a huge amount of support and guidance, from my manager, to the early careers contacts, other early career professionals and colleagues who were always happy to lend a helping hand.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Really welcoming and friendly. Everyone offered up their support, even if you didn't work closely with them. I knew that even if I made a mistake, I would have guidance to make it right and learn from it.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed my placement thoroughly. Even if I don't end up going into this field, I will 100% take all of my learnings and skills development into my career.
