Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
In my specific role, I help generate offers for new and existing employees. I also help manage shared mailboxes between multiple teams as well as being part of a development team in which I am able to grow my professional careers even more with more experiences outside of my team
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I have given so much responsibility during my placement. Including, leading projects from start to finish, presenting to large groups without assistance. I also have had the opportunity to interact with external clients to help get a project going.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have learnt so many new skills such as project management (as i have been allowed to lead on many projects during my year). I have also learnt to network which has been super helpful in growing my connections. Data analysis is another key skill I use everyday. Finally, I have also become efficient in excel and PowerPoint which is a skill I can take to any job in the future

During my placement, I had so much support from both my team but also from the future careers team. If I ever had a problem or issue I could go to them and they would help resolve it with me.

The culture of my company was nuturing to help me thrive in a corporate setting. They are espeically good as ensuring to not overwhelm the new employees

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have enjoyed all of my placement. I have had the opportunity to learn so much and grow personally and professionally. It has been a valuable experience which I will take me back to final year.

What advice would you give to others applying to Unilever
Defiantly apply to Unilever. There are so many opportunities outside of your day to day job to get involved more within the company and it is a great way to learn and prepare for life after university while not being too overwhelming
