I supported project priorities such as change management and project reporting. My role often involved attending and organising meetings, engaging with stakeholders and improving process documentation and templates.

My responsibility within the project increased throughout the year in response to my objectives, increased technical competency and increased confidence. I was offered guidance wherever my responsibilities increased to ensure I felt supported and had a positive experience.

This experience has widely developed a range of soft and technical skills. My pre-existing capabilities for example my communicative skills have positively evolved through varied activities within my direct team and into the wider company. I have also had opportunities to build foundational and technical project management skills such as resource management.

I received lots of support and guidance from a variety of individuals to cater to any needs that may have arisen. From early career support schemes to regular line managerial 121's I always felt this was an enthusiastic and supportive environment to work in.

The company culture was welcoming from the start. Everyone was considerate and ensured I had the support in place as not only an early career's employee but also as a new starter. The culture was inclusive and embracing, collaborative and inspiring which made me feel part of the team and valued from Day 1.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement as it has been a highly positive experience. It has allowed me to thoroughly explore a potential career path in project management within a safe and supportive environment. Furthermore, it has helped me understand aspects of working life for example office etiquette and shaping my professional identity.
