Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Developing new science and technologies for shampoo to implement into future products.
Done by formulating products and evaluating parameters such as deposition of benefit actives and performance using quantification techniques.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Initially, work given was in collaboration with others to ensure correct amount of support was provided and I was comfortable with the work.
This progressed to being given work to carry out independently, with the help of planning, logistics and data analysis.
Once confident and comfortable I had full responsibility in my projects- from initial planning, to logistics, formulation, quantification, data analysis and proposed next steps.
