Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
A day at the firm included a welcome and registration. Then, afterwards, we had sessions from trainees, associates and partners within the firm. We had several spotlight sessions surrounded different practice areas. Within these, we dealt with case studies which helped us apply our knowledge. We also had further talks on life at the firm and many opportunities to ask questions to consolidate our knowledge. We learnt more about the firm's AI approach and their strategies.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It is useful to know how the firm interacts with many businesses and clients. They also made us aware of the future steps for us to look forward to and where we could apply our employability skills.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have enhanced my networking skills through talking with many lawyers at the firm and also my peers. I also was able to build on my commercial awareness through case studies and learning about ways to improve. My critical analysis and legal skills were enhanced through group activities and applying what I learnt to different scenarios.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was excellent! Everyone was so welcoming and lovely. I felt comfortable at all times. The Early Careers Team were so intentional about making us feel seen and heard which showed throughout the programme. I was pleasantly surprised how well I fit in and enjoyed myself.
