Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The insight was an introduction to BNP Paribas' diversified banking sector. Over the insight we were provided the opportunity to learn about different sectors of the bank, but also learn about different technical skills we might need. For example, through TTS, Training the street, we were able to learn valuation techniques used in Banking

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was challenging as it was one of the first in-person opportunities where I've been exposed to different roles at banks.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The programme has indeed helped me learn a number of skills whilst also making me recognise my existing skills - emphasising the use of them in the workplace. This helped me feel I developed myself as a person. One skill I particularly enjoyed enhancing was my note-taking skills. Admittedly, some sessions were difficult and I had to actively take notes.
