Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Day 1: learned about global markets and global banking. Participated in a Business Skills training with Mind Gym.
Day 2: Technical Skills Training with Fitch Learning
Day 3: Learned about Sales, Trading, Structuring, Research and Primary
Day 4: Assessment Centre

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Day three was particularly informative. Being exposed to various sections of the Global Markets allowed me to understand what the day-to-day operations look like, as well as the type of person and interpersonal skills you should have to succeed in particular roles.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Networking skills and Strengths finding via Mind Gym allowed me to learn how to grow my career and identify my identified/unidentified/learned strengths and weaknesses.
Learned about Global Markets and its various subsections.
Improved critical thinking and quick decision making, through the asset management and trading simulations.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. HR and program coordinators were very open. Many roles displayed a lot of client exposure for junior roles, emphasizing a flat hierarchy and inclusive atmosphere.
