Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Attended departmental presentations almost everyday explaining what each department does and the work they specialise in. Got invovled with competition and corporate work, creating legal research notes and helping to resedarch key areas.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Very good. We were given daily presentation on the potential departments we could qualify into and what a trainee within this department would do. we also found out more about their non-law related initiatives such as diversity and inclusion.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very good! Everyone was extremely friendly, supportive and understanding. Supervisors were very receptive and keen to make sure we were not overworked but also got a good hands on feel for the work done.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
Thoroughly enjoyed the vac scheme. Felt like I was really valued and also not overworked. Got a good insight into the firm's values, culture and work.

Show a geniune interest in the firm. They are so different to other city law firms there is a wide range of things to say that shows you have a genuine interest for working at HSF. Everyone is extremely friendly which is such a booster for confidence on interviews! Be receptive to learning new things.
