Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The first day we had presentations from the global markets, global banking and CSR & community engagement teams. We also had a networking workshop and a panel of previous summer analysts.
The second day we had a FitchLearning workshop and an Asset Management and Trading simulation. In the evening we had a Women in Global Markets panel and networking session.
The third day consisted of presentations from different divisions : FX strategy, DCM, Credit analyst, commodities sales, structuring, trading.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Very insightful, I’m really glad to know more about teams that I didn’t know existed. I also got to learn and talk to some graduates intern which is very valuable.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned a lot in terms of networking and have also expanded my knowledge in financial markets and asset classes. I am also more knowledgeable now on BNP Paribas’ divisions, values and organisation.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very good, I really enjoyed connecting with other students sharing similar interests and learning more about BNP Paribas’ culture which is very welcoming and environmentally conscious.
