Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

We looked at property development in Edinburgh and some valuation and market values, as well as worked on some spreadsheets. gained an understanding of CRV and Yields. Also worked with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] in Residential later on in the week where I went to view some properties that were on the market. Later on in the week also worked with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] in Office and Retail where we looked on the issue of office and hotel space and went to view some office space. Also worked with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] who gave me an insight into this rising issue as we took a deeper dive by looking into the Edinburgh city plan 2030.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was very interesting to understand that there is more to real estate than just houses. Real Estate are built assets that very from commercial to residential to retail and much more. It changed my perspective of coming into the industry. I am definitely no longer set on the course of Residential as my horizon and scope has now been expanded and I now find other aspects of real estate very enticing and appealing.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have just gained a lot more valuable knowledge as to what Real Estate actually consists of and the different sectors in the industry. For example I did not know about Rural Real Estate but was enlightened when I had a chat with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] from Rural. I also learned how to effectively use excel in more depth.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It was a very amazing and friendly work environment. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Keen to answer my questions and help me out when needed, was so grateful.
