Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Each day I was given tasks to complete by my allocated mentor, to go directly towards projects that were taking place in my chosen field. Teams meetings were arranged daily to get an insight on different sectors within the business.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Having the chance to choose what sector to be situated in for the week enabled me to further my understanding on topics that I haven't had the chance to partake in work experience yet. The online meetings with professionals from each department enabled me to have an understanding on each sector of the business and their services: to have more of an understanding on what route in the industry I would like to explore.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have had such a vast insight on both Savills as a business and real estate overall. I've been able to apply the knowledge from my degree towards this placement, furthering my interpersonal skills and my real estate knowledge. The responsibility I was given has enabled me to improve on my time management, problem solving and communication skills, whilst having the chance to network with a brilliant team at the Birmingham office.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Savills exceeded my expectations. In the real estate industry there is sometimes a stereotype of employees, but Savills do not adhere to this and have strict diversity and inclusion values which were shown throughout my time here. Everyone at the Birmingham office was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure I felt welcomed and included.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
