Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Primary goal is to gain experience of working in a project environment and support the application of project management practices, working under supervision and reporting to the Senior Project Manager Project Management Office / Control Account Manager (PMO/CAM).
Secondary goal to undertake all stretch assignments.
Tertiary goal responsibility for own personal development and as experience is gained expand the scope and complexity of contributions.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, the area where I worked allowed me to take on a deal of monthly responsibility. Additionally, participating in Stretch Assignments meant more responsibility could be undertaken.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

A good amount. I had a buddy to whom I could ask for advice and mentoring. The Early Careers Team was also amazing and always there to help and support.
