Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the virtual experience and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
We had a variety of speakers from different sections within the business give an outline of their day to day jobs as well as an opportunity to ask them a range of questions. We also had an opportunity to network with some graduates that have been in a similar position to us, as well as having a group presentation which is great to network with students in the same position as me.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really interesting to learn about the different pathways and rotational roles that are available within the business. It is encouraging to hear from graduates that have been in my position about how they have progressed and I feel as though I have learnt the inner workings of the business.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I feel as though my communication skills have been enhanced through the group working in which we were placed into random groups with people we haven’t met before. I have also gained a better understanding of the way the business works and the hierarchy in which involves management interactions.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the virtual experience

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I feel as though the company culture is very supportive no matter what role you are in. The fact that the hierarchy is extremely flat offers a very helpful dynamic I believe. It leads me to believe that the support the company offer is of an extremely high level.

To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
I have enjoyed every moment of the virtual experience. It has exceeded my expectations and proven extremely useful and helpful for my future plans in the industry. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity and couldn’t have asked for much more.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills
I would advise others to look up and really understand the inner workings of the company and some of the main sectors the business deals with. I believe this will be helpful to gain an insight before the virtual programme.
