Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Meetings where I got to engage with cross functional teams. Role involved review of technical documents and technical report writing. There were also times when I had to go on board ship vessels to identify and inspect equipment, and compared it with relevant drawings.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Regardless of whether you're a summer intern or placement student there is room to hold considerable responsibility for deliverables and have a say in important meetings. The work done is not bound to your immediate teams so you can see the contribution towards the wider business.
