Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
In my role, I use Python for data cleaning and analysis. Daily tasks include preparing raw datasets by handling missing data, correcting errors, and formatting using libraries like Pandas and NumPy. I analyze data trends using visualization tools such as Matplotlib and Seaborn, then report findings through summaries or dashboards. Collaboration with the team ensures that the analysis aligns with project goals. My work supports data-driven decisions through technical data manipulation and clear communication of insights.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given a good amount of responsibility during my internship. I was entrusted with managing key tasks such as data cleaning, analysis, and reporting, which directly contributed to the project outcomes. I was also encouraged to take initiative, make decisions, and present my findings to the team. This level of responsibility allowed me to apply my skills, learn independently, and feel like a valuable member of the team, significantly enhancing my overall learning experience.
