Analytics and Sales Intern Review

In Sales, our job was to call clients about different functionalities on the Bloomberg Terminal. Our aim was to ensure clients were getting the most out of their Terminal, and had an overall positive experience of usage.
In Analytics, we had lots of classroom-style learning sessions about the financial markets, the Terminal, and other Bloomberg's offerings. We were also involved in product deployment calls and training on how to answer client helpdesk queries.

Yes, I was given a high level of responsibility, especially in Sales. From the start, I had the opportunity to engage with clients of various seniority levels, both over the phone and in client meetings. This responsibility allowed me to gain practical experience in real-world situations, contributing to my understanding of financial market player types and their workflows.

During the 10-week program, I learned and improved various skills.
In Analytics, the training helped me understand how to use the Bloomberg Terminal and its various features. In Sales, I developed my client service, communication, and sales skills through practical experience. I also worked on projects that improved my presentation skills.
Overall, this internship has been valuable in helping me grow both technically and in how I work with others.

Additionally, other employees across the company were very approachable and willing to share their knowledge. I enjoyed my internship very much.
