Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

It's a lot of learning about the different financial players as well as the bloomberg products. Day to day you'll be
- making sales call to clients
- shadowing employees in departments
- going to speaker sessions and development
- work on various team projects
- participate in training sessions

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

You're given responsibiliity from the first day and they trust you to call clients and book meetings for clients. You also get to go on client visits as well from the moment you start. There's a lot of independence over workflow

You get given 2 managers and 2 mentors as well as other connections throughout the business as well. There's also HR teams that support and since it's a large cohort of interns you have an internal intern support as well

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Amazing Culture! Everyone is happy to talk to you and you can happily speak to anyone you want across the company. Very inclusive environment. Since majority of people speak another language or aren't originally from England, it makes for an incredibly culturally diverse office and environment where you're encouraged to be yourself

Incredible 10 weeks.! Great balance of socialising, developing your career and your expanding your network, as well as learning and training to understand the industry better
