Analytics and Sales Review

Two days a week in Analytics training, learning how to use the Terminal with a different focus each week (e.g. Equity, Fixed Income).
Three days in Sales, learning about clients, calling clients to teach new functionalities and shadowing client visits.
Free time for networking across departments and working on projects.

Yes. From the second week we were calling Bloomberg clients to teach them about new/enhanced functionalities on the Terminal, and responding to any additional questions they had. We also had opportunities to shadow client visits.
Internally, we were taken seriously by employees across departments and had freedom to schedule meetings with them to ask them about their work.

I have learnt a lot about financial markets through my Analytics training, and about market players, through my time in Sales. There are many opportunities to network and present on projects which have boosted my confidence, too.

We had managers and mentors in Analytics and Sales, and employees who would support us specifically to network and get involved in the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion side of Bloomberg. I felt very supported.

I think the culture is good. I felt that everyone was willing to talk to me, and that people wanted me to do well.

I enjoyed it a lot. I learnt a lot, I met interesting people who have given me valuable advice, and I developed my soft skills.
