Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Spent two days per week in the classroom, learning about different asset classes and how to use the terminal from current employees.
The other three days were spent with a sales team, talking to clients over the phone and meeting with them at their offices to ensure they are utilizing the terminal properly.
There were 4 group projects that are worked on throughout and presented near the end of the internship.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, we were able to speak to clients independently from week 2. We were encouraged to book and attend client meetings as well as meet with pretty much anyone from within the company at any time.

I was assigned a manager and mentor for both Sales and Analytics who were happy to talk at any time and answer any questions that I had.

Generally positive company culture. No expectation to stay in the office past 6pm and no unnecessary pressure from anyone.

Be authentic and genuine. It is okay not to know everything and as long as you are not arrogant and are willing to learn, you will do well at Bloomberg.
