Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role as a Data Management Professional Intern involves working on my internship project, scheduling meetings with employees here to better understand the company culture, training sessions as well as general intern events which can range from volunteering to a fun outing.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. I was given a lot of responsibility which was great as it provided me with a sense of agency, but they also never put too much responsibility on me.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes. I have learned various technological skills within the realm of data science such as semantic data modeling. I also honed my conversational skills, programming skills as well as developed a mindset fit for working at such a large scale company.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I have definitely received a lot of support and guidance. I had a mentor who was with me everyday, a very supportive team, and an intern connector from another department who I regularly had coffee chats with. The HR team was also extremely helpful.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture is very comfortable and inviting. There are no offices in the building, meaning in-person communication between people at different departments and levels was quite easy. This was extremely helpful in settling in as everyone was very welcoming.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have greatly enjoyed my internship, and I could not have asked for a better employer. The support and guidance I have received here is unmatched, while also not sacrificing independent personal development. The teams were very welcoming and the culture was very comfortable. I loved working here.
