Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Using excel and proprietary tools to perform pension calculations for clients and then create reports to present this data.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes within the first week, we got involved with real client work. This give us true insight into what we can expect from the role and we also learnt loads since we had more senior people working on the same job, willing to give us help and advice to help us further our on the job learning.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Lots! No question was too basic or too silly. Everyone wanted to help and see us learn and improve our skills. We had training sessions at the start of the internship but as we built our skills we moved onto working on real client work, being assigned a buddy we could call upon for help at any time.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very friendly. The way everything is structured is such that everyone has someone more senior than them they can ask for help which means there is a great atmosphere for team work, collaboration and teaching. We had lots of social events as well like rounders, football and team lunches.
