Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I worked on data analytics to maintain and monitor deployed models that Jefferies has in production mostly involving information security aspects. I also was part in conversations held about ways to bring a model into production by going through use cases then obtaining feedback until a satisfiable end product is reached.

Yes, the the project I worked on was directly linked to concepts we have in production

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Absolutely, first week on desk I got introduced to AWS which the firm uses across many departments. Through company provided resources I completed training and assessments where I obtained my knowledge certification badge.
Furthermore, I enhanced my Python skills for Data Science while also leveraging Jupyter notebook rather than a normal Python IDE.

What advice would you give to others applying to Jefferies International
Do not try and pretend you know more than you actually do and always be willing to learn and be prepared to put hours into your work. The people here are very friendly but there are also very real expectations for you meaning that you have to prove you belong here and want to be here.
