Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Morning stand-up where we’d outline our tasks for the day. Developing new features/raising Jiras to be implemented. Debugging by writing unit tests. Meetings to determine next steps.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes my first task involved working on existing code base which was eventually released to production. I was trusted to be able to deploy to different environments independently and that the code I implemented was fully tested.

I had regular catch ups with another developer on the team who would offer me support if I was having any problems. Everyone on the team was happy to answer any questions I had
