Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was an intern on two desks. These desks can vary but I was on a sales desk and trading desk. Day to day I would be learning about the products the desk trades, asking questions, and shadowing the team too. I would also help the team out with any tasks they gave to me, this includes emails and automating tasks.

Yes I have learnt a lot of option theory, credit theory, how to trade better, and have improved my excel and Python skills.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
There was a good support system. HR is always very helpful in particular the early recruitment team. Also, we had buddy’s who were graduates who were a great help. Graduates in general were very good help, and so were everyone in general, but usually the grads would be the go to for anything.

Good culture, especially for a bank. Everyone is very helpful and nice.

Be open minded about what you like and what you don’t like. Don’t be a know it all. Be able to balance making your presence known and not being annoying.
