Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As an intern in global market, I support the team in my capacity, this could be in the form of task automation, research tasks, formatting powerpoint and many more. I also participate in the organised pitches, presentations, and HR organised events.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was kept busy with structured tasks organised, as well as work with the desk. I appreciate that I get to work on tasks that directly support the desk

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Firstly, I've gotten a better insight into the different line of business, desks, and roles within the bank and an idea of what I personally enjoy doing. Secondly, I've learnt how to effectively keep myself up to date with the market and how investment bankers view the market. Thirdly, I also learnt important skills such as excel, VBA, ppt, and more that allows me to automate tasks and make processes more efficient for my desk. I've also been able to home my communication and networking skills, meeting with my line manager weekly to communicate my progress, receive feedback and learn about thier work.
