Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

One rotation (4 weeks) on credit flow trading, I learnt a lot about credit, need to send the notes of morning meeting every day and to send midday comments (comments from traders of their morning activity) everyday before 2pm. I also had trade ideas to do.
My second rotation was on client analytics in prime brokerage, I had a python project to do to analyse client trades and behavior with a presentation at the end.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I developed my existing analytical and coding skills with my project in my second rotation. I also improve my social and networking skills when I was shadowing people. I improve my « creativity and thinking » skills with trade ideas.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thought I will do more and have more responsibilities. As I already did internships in finance I think it was more boring for me than for people that don’t know anything about finance.
