Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role entailed working with the discovery team for hive as a product analysts producing a new product this included both attending and contributing to meetings additional I was carrying out projects and a charity project that aided the team in the product production.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes I was given key roles in the development of new products and fully incorporated into the team as if i was a graduate. My personal projects will carry on to help the team long term and am grateful for the responsibility given.

I developed my presenting skills this aided my confidence also I developed my commercial awareness over the period of the internship. Finally I built my analysis skills using power BI and python.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a lot of guidance when needed my manager was very proactive and i had optimal daily calls if needed which i utilised if needed. Additionally the emerging talent team provided a lot of support and additional learning.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company had a great culture with many people from all walks of life which created a diverse and innovative environment. Additionally everyone was very supportive and wanted us to get involve, valuing our opinions.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I greatly enjoyed the past 8 weeks and am very grateful for the opportunity I have met many amazing people, and believe this is a great start to my career. I was provided with so many diverse opportunities which I grasped and have developed my skills massively.
