Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Supporting my team with software development tasks. A lot of observing, but real opportunity to deliver products.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a huge amount of responsibility, although I believe this was adapted based off my motivation. I entered my role with a lot of experience, others who did not were given less responsibility.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Developed both soft and hard skills throughout. Worked on existing skills building on knowledge from university and had dedicated sessions to work on soft skills, such as Presenting with Impact.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I knew support was available, but sometimes it took too long to receive it. The Emerging Talent team are very small and do not have the capacity to support all 100 interns.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone was incredibly friendly. The environment felt supportive, although it could feel a bit quiet at times due to the flexible nature of the company.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my placement. I was very satisfied with the opportunities given to me and enjoyed the enhanced responsibility. I would've liked to see a bit more personal interaction with the Emerging Talent team. They were working very hard, too hard, and needed extra support.
