Insight Week Review

Insight into Analytics and Sales at Bloomberg, learning more about fintech and the Bloomberg terminal in financial commercial awareness and terminal workshops, as well as job shadowings and discussions and panels with Bloomberg employees from several departments. The week was rounded off with group presentations and an assessment centre for the 2025 summer internship.

During the insight week, we really heard from experts in both the analytics and sales department, each and everyone with different roles, experiences and values. Additionally, we learned about all the inter departmental activities that Bloomberg has to offer like DE&I efforts and the Boblympics, which really helped me to understand how it would be to work here at Bloomberg. I specifically enjoyed the openness of all employees whom I also met for coffee chats outside of the regular programme.

I was able to get a deeper insight into how Bloomberg operates, especially how to use the terminal to improve workflow efficiency. I learned more about key financial players both in the buyside and sellside and about different roles within these institutions. I was also able to develop my soft skills, especially related to customer service and client facing responsibilities.

The key terms to answer this question really are openness and enthusiasm. Everyone whom I met during this insight week was extremely open to talk about their experience at Bloomberg which helped me gain an insight into how it would be to work here and I truly appreciated the positive and enthusiastic attitude of everyone. Every individual was really looking forward to going to the office every day - something that really impressed me!

The insight was not only an insight for just a week, but the connections I made with team leaders, other participants and the interns were truly remarkable and helpful for my understanding of the fintech and corporate world.
