Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
It was a week where we attended classes every day and saw what it was like to work in analytics and sales. All lectures were given by employees and experts. We had lectures on finance, Bloomberg Terminal and philatropy. Additionally, we had a networking session where we could meet employees and interns and they shared their experience with us. All our expenses were covered.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
I really felt like I could have a future at this company. There is a wide variety of positions and you can really move up. Aside from that, Bloomberg invests in people and teaches you about finance, Bloomberg Terminal and how to be successful in your job. Other than that, the work environment is great.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I learned a lot about fintech, the Bloomberg Terminal, analytics and sales roles, Bloomberg philanthropy, Bloomberg culture, the origins of Bloomberg and how the company operates and its products. In addition, I learned how to ace a job interview and also gave a presentation on a Bloomberg Terminal function.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Bloomberg gives a lot of importance to philanthropy and ESG criteria. Their core values are transparency, diversity and inclusion. Everyone is welcome and can have a say, because they listen to you. The work environment there is great. Everyone likes to collaborate and is willing to help you.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I met new people and made new friends. I also learned a lot about finance, the Bloomberg Terminal, its values, and more. I really enjoyed the talks and activities. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I really recomend it.

Don't think twice before applying. Be prepared to live an intense and challenging week. Be open to everything. And try to make the most of every moment and expand your network.
