Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Each day involved work for your supervisor that you sat with, for example a legal note on a specific topic such as the takeover code. The day also usually involved talks from the firm to gain a larger knowledge of the working environment for example a talk on the pro bono work that the firm does.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Understanding more about the business was incredibly useful for a decision of if I want to start a career at the firm. All the people working there were very helpful, knowledgeable and open about the culture at the firm allowing you to truly understand what it’s like to work there.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt a lot about corporate law and how to write meaningful legal notes. Also learn a lot about the day to day of a trainee and a senior lawyer. Developed presentation skills in a group project pitch.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very welcoming and open to helping with work and learning more about the firm. Senior members of the firm were very understanding in adapting there schedule to make time to speak to you about whatever you wanted to learn about.
